Title: What Animal

Reincarnation is a fascinating theory that has been around for centuries. In a world mainly dominated by science and facts, humans see no purpose in believing in the mystical. Religion has been a large part of society for thousands of years, but in recent times, it has lost some of its influence. Although this is not necessarily negative, for religion has brought along several harmful aspects to the world, the idea of mysticism and magic has faded along with it. We hardly stop to think about our soul, spirit and how it came to be a part of us.
What I've tried to accomplish through this piece is to find out how people feel about their souls, the possibility of reincarnation and a human's relationship with animals. The idea that our spirits may have once inhabitied the body of an animal has always appealed to me and through this piece I hope to not necessarily make people believe in reincarnation, but make them more aware of their own spirits and souls and how they’ve come to be human.
i don't believe in re-incarnation in the metaphysical sense. but i do take some spiritual/poetic comfort in Newton's theory of immutability, the idea that energy can't uhmmn be destroyed, but it can be redefined or reshaped into another form in perpetuity.
ReplyDeleteThat does seem to at least approach the unreasonable expectations of reincarnation. Go Habs
